At the Diamond Retailer Breakfast at NYCC, Marvel Comics announced that they had signed Marcelo Ferreira to an exclusive creator contract, give him a) guaranteed high profile work at Marvel b) employee benefits and c) making sure he can't sneak off and draw Batman.
Marcelo is better known for his licensed work on Back To The Future, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Angry Birds/Transformers and Call of Duty, but he recently joined the Punisher War Of The Realms comic, the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man title and and Absolute Carnage Vs Deadpool and seems to have rather impressed Marvel in the process.
He will be drawing the new Morbius series, written by Vita Alaya, and we got a look at the cover to issue 3 out in January..
