Earlier this week, it was announced that as a result of the recent Las Vegas massacre, that Marvel had decided to pull the Netflix Punisher screening and panel from New York Comic Con, scheduled for tomorrow at Madison Square Gardens. There were clearly many issues regarding sensitivities, emotions and taste about watching such a show, displayed in such a format at this time.
But what to replace it with? Something that make a more positive emotional impact? Well, Marvel Comics have the perfect solution. So screening at Madison Square Gardens tomorrow evening, presented by Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, will be a screening of the on-stage chat he had with Stan Lee at the Paley Center in Beverley Hills back in April, to benefit the Hero Initiative. Here is the new listing.
Joe Quesada Presents: My Chat with Stan Lee – An Exclusive Screening
October 07, 2017, 5:15 PM – 7:00 PM
The Theater at Madison Square Garden
On April 14th 2017, Stan Lee and Joe Quesada sat down for a very intimate and entertaining conversation at the Paley Center to benefit The Hero Initiative. With attendance purposely limited, this extremely candid interview about Stan's life and Marvel Comics has only been seen and enjoyed by the 125 people that were in the audience that day. Marvel and The Hero Initiative are now providing NYCC attendees with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend an exclusive screening of this interview and experience Stan as he answers questions that he has rarely been asked and reveals never-before-heard stories and thoughts on some of the greatest moments in his personal life, professional career, and the history of Marvel.
