Should Marvel Replace The Word "Uncanny" With "Horny"? XSpoilers…

Today sees the publication of Uncanny Avengers #3 and Uncanny Spider-Man #2. Two comics that don't usually have that word in them.

Today sees the publication of Uncanny Avengers #3 and Uncanny Spider-Man #2. Two comics that don't usually have the word "Uncanny" in them, but  Marvel hasn't published an Uncanny X-Men in five years (though watch for it to return when Jordan D White leaves and Tom Brevoort takes over). And Marvel does like to keep the trademark going. Uncanny Avengers is an Avengers team with mutants in it, and Uncanny Spider-Man is a Spider-Man comic with Nightcrawler in it. That's the deal.

But from today's comic books, it seems that they may have more accurately gone with Horny Avengers and Horny Spider-Man instead. And no, I'm not talking about German national Nightcrawler's thought about his mother.

But his thoughts about Silver Sable, mercenary, hunter of war criminals, leader of the Wild Pack, and owner of Silver Sable International, which provides the entire GDP of the small European state of Symkaria. and who was meant to be hunting him down for Orchis. While over in Uncanny Avengers...

…it's Quicksilver and Monet following suit. Monet's father was Monaco's ambassador to France and was born in Bosnia. Quicksilver is part of the European Roma community, born in Serbia.

Is this Marvel Comics deciding that the future of the mutant race is all down to horny European mutants, moving past their own national and ethnic rivalries? I mean, if so, fair play. Uncanny Avengers #3 and Uncanny Spider-Man #2 are both published today.
