Nick Abadzis, Hugo Tate And Gosh Comics' New Look
Gosh Comics in London hosted the book launch for Nick Abadzis' Hugo Tate complete collection tonight. It also took the opportunity to show off its new window designs, created by a batch of comic creators during Free Comic Book Day.
The night went well, with attendance from the likes of Mark Stafford, Steve Marchant, Ilya, John McCrea, Sean Azzopardi, Steve White and the fantastic French artist Beatrice Cussol – currently living homeless in the UK with plans to stab a Damian Hirst piece as she sees Hirst as her thematic father and so must destroy him.
It was that kind of night.
Nick was signing and sketching well over the two hours he was meant to be there for, including a number of touching piece for friends. It was a time for London comics to people to celebrate the success of one they've grasped to their chest…
