A Comic Show – Bombshells And Aliens

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:

Hey Fandom, I'm back with another week of New Comics Now. This week was a little lighter as we wait for the Star Wars and Marvel onslaught that's coming. My favorite book this week is Image's Plutona by Jeff Lemire and Emi Lenox. Image's Stand By Me with a Superhero. We Stand On Guard and The Dying & The Dead continued to entertain. Remender's lost book, The Last Days of American Crime is finally back in print, and highly recommended. And while Aliens Vampirella #1 definitely gave the fan what they want, I'm pushing Aliens Salvation as probably the best Aliens comic ever made.

As we wait for Secret Wars #6 and the ANAD Marvel Universe, Deadpool VS Thanos #1, Thors #3, and Mockingbird #1 are great for passing the time. Figment 2 is out by the same guys as the hit first volume. And Gaiman and Buckingham's Miracleman starts their Golden Age.

DC Bombshells is a must read for anyone that likes the bombshells aesthetic. It pitch perfect and executed well. If you like these characters, you'll enjoy this book. It's just that simple.
