A Comic Show – Cyborg, Can You Dig It?

Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:

Hey Fandom, I'm back with another week of New Comics Now! Cyborg was the one I was most excited for, and David F. Walker didn't disappoint! Sure the art from Ivan Reis is every bit as good as his Blackest Night and Aquaman, but I'm glad he's not with Geoff Johns here. Walker of Shaft fame really is the perfect pick for Vic, giving him balls both literally and figuratively. Also, the scene that's an homage to Green Lantern/Green Arrow was spot on (and had nothing to do with race this time). We Are Robin and Prez #2 continued their solid start. And Fables #150 (or volume 22 if you prefer to see it that way) is bittersweet.

Over in Marvel's Secret Wars, Star-Lord & Kitty Pride #1 is a swinging good time! This issue takes place in The Quiet Room and opens with Peter singing The Little Mermaid. Old Man Logan #3 continues his Exiles-ish romp through Battleworld. My favorite tie-in of them all is E For Extinction with this second issue. If you ever loved Morrison's New X-Men, this makes it like that run never ended.

Ales Kot's new creator-owned book, Wolf, is probably his best work yet! A paranormal detective in an Los Angeles full of the supernatural won me over. It's double sized with a great cliffhanger. Archie vs Predator #4 and the Archie vs Sharknado one-shot are full of Riverdale death! Also, Ricky & Morty #4 is here just in time for season two's start!
