Creator Owned Boom Reflected In Advance Reorders
Jonathan Hickman's The Manhattan Projects cleaned up on advance reorders made by comic stores before the comic shipped. With issue 2 hitting the top of the chart, measuring reorders from the 5th to the 11th of March, expect a sellout announcement for that comic when it's most publicity-wise advantageous. In fact there's a lot of creator owned books being given a second look by retailers before the book ships. While the second prints only get their orders listed on this chart, so make up a larger proportion of it, Secret Service. Hell Yeah, Fatale and Danger Club are all doing well. Bleeding Cool has been covering the recent boom in demand for new creator owned comics, and it seems like the retailers at large are catching up to that.
And peeking through the massive Walking Dead demand, for books that have already come out, Justice League #6 and Batman Beyond are performing well, too. Could we go to a third print of Batman Beyond Unlimited #1?
