Days Of Comics Past

So this is the way things are then are they? DC post something on the Source blog, all the other blogs repeat it, link to it and be a bit sarcastic about it? Fair enough, I can do that. No probs..

Today it's the turn of Old DC to show its head and push Final Crisis, Blackest Night and all that malarky to one side. None of this modern fangled metatextual stuff, we're going back to basics and rolling back the decades,

So we have Legacies, a seven ten issue (The Source suddenly changed its mind on this) mini-series by Wolverine creator Len Wein with a medley of artists to celebrate the passing decades,  from as Wein lays it out, from the beginning of the Golden Age to the moment before Countdown To Infinite Crisis. DC tell us Andy Kubert, Joe Kubert and J.G. Jones will be initial names.

And then Dan Didio is launching a new Who's Who Of The DC Universe, a catalogue of the characters of DC Comics. And hopefully what Earths they are on, exactly what is up with Donna Troy, Power Girl, Superboy Prime and Bat Mite.

Oh and there's loads of Francis Manapul's Flash stuff for Geoff Johns too, here.

And where are Marvel in all this? Hmm, about time for a Marvel story I think. Let me see if I can dig anything out…
