DC Comics Calls Batman/Catwoman Kiss Statues In Stores 'Fakes'

kissThree weeks ago DC Collectibles released the Hush Batman/Catwoman The Kiss Statue.

The online DC Shop had it listed as being available to ship as of the 31st March. Until last week when it was suddenly switched to the 30th of May, a two month delay.

A Bleeding Cool reader called DC's store to enquire what was happening. She was told that the statue had been delayed due to production issues and any such statues that stores had received were fakes.

It's clearly nonsense, as this video from Midtown Comics shows. But it's an entertaining excuse.

So comic stores, how do you feel about selling what at least one DC employee calls a fake?
