A Female 80's Hero Evens The Odds – Preview Revenger #1 From Charles Forsman And Oily Comics
Charles, aka "Chuck" Forsman runs indie imprint and distributor Oily Comics, as well as the creator of Ignatz award-winning Snake Oil and graphic novel The End of the Fucking World (TEOTFW). He's also, more generally, a great encourager of indie creators and comics. This week sees the release of his new comic Revenger, a 24 page full color comic with a back cover by Benjamin Marra (Night Business, O.M.W.O.T.).
True to Oily Comics' business model that challenges the typical Kickstarter formats these days, you can get the comic digitally now, or pre-order the print comic with packages of extras that will arrive in short order in February.
Charles Forsman describes the three ways to get Revenger thus:
-Digital PDF/CBZ
-Print + Digital
-Print + Digital + a postcard with an original drawing
Also, no matter which version you get you are free to pay more than the base price. So if you really want to see Revenger continue and take some of the worry out of my life then throw me a few extra bones if you feel like it. No pressure.
Forsman describes the plot of the book in this way:
Revenger is about a woman who doesn't take any shit. She roams a crumbling United States in the 1980s helping the beaten and exploited even their odds. The first issue kicks off with a call for help from a teenage boy who is concerned about his missing girlfriend.
