How Will The Holidays Affect When You Can Buy Your Comics?
Wednesday is New Comics Day. We all know that now, even the Brits.
But what happens when Turkey celebrations – whether Thanksgiving or Christmas – get in the way? Well, Diamond's early-day shipping has built in a buffer.
Thanksgiving, on the 24th of November, may see US and Puerto Rican store get the next week's delivery on the Wednesday rather than the Tuesday. So I wouldn't bother the stores too early in the morning for that week's fix. International customers such as Canada and the UK will be unaffected.
Christmas week may see US, Puerto Rican and Canadian stores get their delivery on Wednesday, 28th December. This time, international customers could be affected, with 1-2 days delay expected due to an increase in airport traffic.
The next week, US and Puerto Rican store may get their comics delivered on the Wednesday 4th January, Canada will get them on the Tuesday and international customers may be doing the up-to-48 hour wait. Naturally, Bleeding Cool will hope to keep you up to date on this.
Diamond Comic Distributors will naturaly attempt to get early day delivery for all customers. But those turkeys won't roast themselves…
