These peeks behind the scenes of how the really technical aspects of filmmaking come together are always so cool, whether it's animation or, like below, visual effects on a live action feature.

Here, Industrial Light & Magic take us through how they created some of the grand scale special effects driven scenes in Pacific Rim. These guys weren't shortlisted for an Oscar for nothing.
