Mark Millar's Plan For Walt Flanagan? (UPDATED)

Mark Millar's Plan For Walt Flanagan? (UPDATED)Mark Millar has a reputation for never doing anything by accident. For always having a plan. Basically, he's a Cylon. Quotes appear promoting books that suddenly turn up in CLiNT. Films get raved about by directors that he's suddenly working with. And actors he raves about tend to turn up at his Kapow! comics convention.

There's already considerable speculation that Mark Hamill will appear at Kapow! based on Millar trying to get in touch with him, and his appearance, kidnapped, in the first issue of The Secret Service.

Well, in the first issue of Supercrooks, one of the characters is named Walt Flanagan. Also known as friend of Kevin Smith, co-producer on his films, artist on his comic books, manager of his store, Jay And Silent Bob's Secret Stash and consequently star of the AMC show Comic Book Men.

Mark Millar's Plan For Walt Flanagan? (UPDATED)

Could Walt be coming to Kapow too? I mean the show doesn't even air here. Not officially anyway…

I mean it could just be an injoke,a gag, a reference among friends. But that's the thing about Mark Millar, even in his jokes he's always playing the long game…

Mark Millar's Plan For Walt Flanagan? (UPDATED)

Or maybe the Secret Stash are buying 10,000 copies. Yeah, that might do it.

UPDATE: Apparently, Mark Millar's cousin is, coincidentally, also called Walt Flanagan and he was unaware of the unintentional reference. Maybe Mark's cousin is coming to Kapow! then!!!
