New John Lewis TV Ad Features The Smiths' Please Please Please, Let Me Get What I Want

New John Lewis TV Ad Features The Smiths' Please Please Please, Let Me Get What I WantWe got a tease earlier in the year.

British department store chain John Lewis used a snatch of The Smith's Charming Man to begin one of their across-the-decades-TV ads. that have become rather famous (the latter of which I still can't watch without tearing up).

But now they've gone to town with their new Christmas ad debuting during tomorrow's X-Factor, featuring a version of The Smiths' Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want from Slow Moving Millie.

And once again, it's challenging my tear ducts.

Oh, just shut up and watch.

'The Long Wait' was directed by Dougal Wilson, who was also behind the 'Always a Woman' ad I mentioned earlier.

Creative directors were Ben Priest, Emer Stamp and Ben Tollett, alongside Matt Gay and John Long, for Blink.
