Press Releases Coming Out Of My Ass Right Now
So I get an email from IDW saying that they will be launching Yoe! Books, a new imprint of books by Craig Yoe, the author of Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman's Co-Creator Joe Schuster. And the first book from the imprint will be The Art of Ditko, coming this autumn.
No sooner have I read that then Top Cow are going on about Stjepan Sejic, artist of Witchblade doing a Live Art event at Meltdown Comics on W Sunset Boulevard, LA, demonstrating his computer painting techniques, on Sunday July 18th from 4-6pm followed by a signing session.
Then Chris Staros from Top Shelf is on my back talking about three new Surrogates books debuting at San Diego, what with the movie and all, a hardcover signed and numbered limited edition of the first two series combined,the prequel series as a trade and a new movie cover version of the first trade, before going on about the Owlys animation premiering at San Diego.
Then Johnny Zito hits me up about his video blogged road trip with Tony Trov, creators of Black Cherry Bombshells' Creators, to San Diego, involved sex, drugs, rock 'n roll and eventually giving away badges/buttons at the DC Comics booth. Okay, I might get mine.
Then Boom! get on my case about Claudio (Coheed And Cambria) Sanchez' new comic series Kill Audio starting in October and how Sanchez will be signing the review book and the Kill Audio vinyl figure, which is only available during signing times, Friday and Saturday from 4-5pm at Booth #2543 – oh and they've also jumped book distributors from Perseus to Simon & Schuster…
And as I am writing that last sentence, Maggie Quial from FortyThree PR want to know if I have a few minutes at Comic-Con to stop by Smith Micro's booth for a quick product demonstration of their new cartooning and animation software.
I don't I'm afraid.
