She Changed Comics, Picked Up By Image For October 2016

Image Comics has picked up the successfully Kickstartered comic She Changed Comics, created with the CBLDF as a history of women who "changed free expression" and a female history of a comic book medium often dominated in the public and comic fan conscious by men.

The 160 page book will profile and interview sixty female creators from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day who have "transformed the landscape of free expression and expanded the comics artform" and – with specific interest to the CBLDF – "the plight of women who have been persecuted for expressing themselves through cartoons"

To be published in October, the stretch goals for this volume included teaching guides for schools and universities backed by a nationwide tour of the USA, and have a Kickstartered budget of $66,741 to work with…
