Sometimes You Gotta Say WTF (Certified) – Friday Trending Topics
There's an old Neil Gaiman Sandman quote which goes something like, "You cannot seek Destruction and remain unscathed". There's an equally wise and on-point Risky Business quote in which Tom Cruise is advised, "Every now and then, say 'what the fuck'. WTF gives you freedom. Freedom brings opportunity. Opportunity makes your future."
Somewhere in the middle of those two points is the early state of WTF Certified. I doubt it's going quite as DC intended this evening, but to paraphrase the Sandman line, you probably can't seek WTF without things getting a little F'ed in the process.
That said, as an engine to power viral marketing, it's been rather brilliant in the early going — and today sweeps our top 3 comic stories. "If you can't say it, you can't do it," indeed.
