Superior Octopus Has Squid-Ink Powers?
So the Superior Octopus is back — Doctor Octopus in a stable cloned body of Peter Parker, complete with his Spider-Powers and a super-Octopus tentacled-up suit. Fresh from working with Hydra in the Secret Empire saga and then saving the life of Aunt May in Going Down Swinging, he is getting his own ongoing series as part of October's Spider-Man/Venom intense month.
Well, as well as having all of Peter Parker's powers and his tentacles on top, he appears to have a new Octopus-based power at his disposal: a Spider-Man webbing-style squid ink. Or, I guess, octopus ink. Based on this art from a preview over at CBR, anyway.
It's not the only time that Doctor Octopus has used ink as a weapon — he also attempted to poison New York City with printers' ink and then battled the Punisher and Spider-Man for his sins. But this seems a little more… direct.
