The Original Sin Of Wakanda

Two Avengers books written by Jonathan Hickman are published today, Avengers #29 and New Avengers #18.

The former is the Original Sin tie in issue, as Captain America comes to terms with his memory being messed with by the Illuminati, and as it becomes more likely that they are going to haeto use their ultimate weapon to destroy another world to save our own.

Aside from that ongoing plot, however, it does not appear to tie in to Original Sin at all, though it does give us a glimpse of the Marvel future (there really ius a lot of that going around, isn't there?) And, yet again, sets Captain America against Iron Man.

But New Avengers, also following this plotline, seems to have a far greater Original Sin tie in, at least thematically, as we discover the price that Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation, paid for staying that way.

Dooming parts of the continent to starvation, disease and death. Basically, Wakandans are a bunch of selfish shits. You want an Original Sin? Right here…
