StripWatch: Troy Chin's Resident Tourist gets recognised;

The series, now in its fifth instalment, has been showcased in places as far-flung as Berlin. Chin is now working on the conclusion to the fourth volume of his other work, family dramedy Loti.

"The (comics) stint was supposed to last for a year at most, but, for some reason, I'm still doing this. I just like doing this now," he said.

And, after a mere four years, Chin's contribution to the literary scene has been recognised. He was one of six home-grown artists awarded the Young Artist Award by the National Arts Council at the Istana last Friday.

Introduced in 1992, the annual award aims to encourage the development of new talent aged 35 or younger. It comes with a $10,000 grant. Chin said he will use the money for the "publication and research for future books".

Wizard World – Gareb's Blog

Gareb has a blog.

"This new edition might seem a little out of place, but in addition to growing up in the comics biz, I also grew up liking chocolate chip cookies. I can't help it; every time I see them on the dessert menu or at a delicious-smelling bakery, I have to get one. So, every once in a while you'll see some amazing cookies on here and you'll know why."

The Wizard World Digital magazine however… has gone.
