The New Trailer For The Expendables 2 – Complete With Whoosh Noises And Interesting Fonts!

This new trailer for The Expendables 2 starts off with some dialogue between Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, and once it realises that the dialogue thing is not really working out it starts throwing up nice graphics, "whoosh" noises and action heroes in dramatic poses. Well, poses, at any rate. Or in some cases just stances.

Eagle-eyed viewers will note that Sylvester Stallone appears to be sporting Marlon Brando's facial hair from The Godfather, and also that his acting seems to mainly consist of using his bottom lip to push up his upper lip, which may be something he read about in Cosmo in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There's a big emphasis in the trailer, as in the posters, upon the names of the stars. Probably because that's all that this sequel seems to have going for it. Personally, I would question the assumption that simply because these actors were in other action movies that happened to be good, getting them all together in one movie does not necessarily make for a winning recipe.

All of the big names are there, but there's something a little bit off about them somehow. It's like one of those lopsided Pikachus you win at funfairs after hemorrhaging a tenner on a game where you pick up rubber ducks with a stick. By the time you get it home you realize that it's a Pokémon, but not as you know it, and perhaps that tenner would have been better spent buying a certified Pikachu toy on the internet.

In a completely unrelated thought, I hear Die Hard looks good on Blu-ray and is currently available on Amazon for under a tenner.

In conclusion, Sly Stallone's bottom lip contains the strength of two ordinary lips, and Bruce Willis is a lopsided Pikachu.
