September 30th – Welcome To #DeadComicDay (UPDATE)
UPDATE: It looks like Marvel has noticed. Seven items have now been moved to the schedule:
Captain America: White #2, Cavalry SHIELD 50th Anniversary #1, E Is For Extinction #4, Ghost Racers #4, Hail Hyrda #3, Inferno #5, MODOK Assassin #5 which should help…
The original article runs below.

Meanwhile, DC Comics are publishing six annuals, Batman, Arkham Knight, Grayson, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, New Suicide Squad. Never great sellers.
Oh and they have Justice League Of America #4 and Sandman Overture #6. Big books those last two, but everything else is, again, a reprint, a collection or digital first. For either publisher this would be a low week. For both, it's a rarity.
Equally, there is no new Walking Dead, no Saga, no Sex Criminals, no Descender, no Wytches, nothing big that might help out, from Image.
IDW has Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #50, thank the lord. And Star Trek #50 for that matter.
Dark Horse debuts a new Colder series. Valiant has Book Of Death The Fall Of Harbinger #1
But that's about it. For comic book stores, as it stands right now, it's going to be a bleak week. Sandman, Justice League and Turtles will be their life.
So, why not take the opportunity to experiment? There will be plenty of other comic books from plenty of other creators and publishers to experiment with. I'm going to be highlighting other comics out that day to fill the aching void…
