Summoners War: Legacy Comic Coming From Skybound and Com2uS

Skybound Entertainment, the publisher behind monster hits such as The Walking Dead, Invincible, and Robert Kirkman's ever-growing net worth, have had a busy weekend. In addition to a re-release of The Walking Dead in color, they announced at their digital Skybound Xpo a collaboration with a company that is responsible for distracting freelancers worldwide. Skybound has teamed up with game publisher Com2uS for a new comic based on their mobile hit Summoners War. The series, Summoners War: Legacy, will be written by longtime Image Comics creator Justin Jordan with an art team of Adventure Time Comics' artist Luca Claretti, colorist Giovanna Niro, and letterer Deron Bennett.

Skybound Entertainment released PR on the Summoners War comic following their stream, which was recorded by a camera, not on a tripod, but instead balancing on a large stack of hundred dollar bills:

Summoners War: Legacy takes place 35 years before the universe-shattering conflict at the mobile game's center. The comic series features fan-favorite monsters, explores the fate of Durand's parents, and expands on the mystical land of Alea and its colorful characters including Abuus, Rai, and Tomas. This riveting addition to Summoners War canon brings a rich lore to the franchise and draws new connections to the upcoming Summoners War games and the Summoners War: Sky Arena game that fans know and love.

John Nam, VP of IP Strategy Department at Com2uS, followed up on the Summoners War comic:

A preview, featuring impressive art from Luca Claretti, was included.
