Superman Vs. The President Of The USA (SPOILERS)

Superman has had a long history with the President Of The United States, whoever he may be at the time.

And before the assassination of President Kennedy, the Superman comics had already teamed up with the Wite House for a story to promote fitness in young men.

After all, he was someone Superman had revealed his secret identity to.

 Well indeed. Especially when in Dark Knight Returns it happened to be Ronald Reagan.

And the God in question was Superman…

Though there were more traditional takes on the pair in the regular comic books.

And a later President – and possible future President – would even make a speech at Superman's funeral.

In on alternate worlds, Superman actually became President through some very generous readings of the Constitution and interpretation of the Kryptonian space ship as a "womb"…

Though one elected President would make it very difficult for Superman.

Though it was the apointment of a Superman loving President…

And would go on to reject the whole thing, before the DC reboot.

That would see another alternate Superman actually be President.

And Obama himself has regularly appeared in the New DCU titles as President.

Well, in this week's Superman/Wonder Woman… the goverment appointed Suicide Squad get down and dirty with Superman and Wonder Woman over some rather nasty business in Smallville that has seen Superman take to the White House with unfinished business…

I don't suppose in the DCU they elected Trump?
