The Spider-Girl Reality TV Show That We'd All Watch But Will Never Happen
Bleeding Cool received the following missive.
A possible reality series based on the original 1978 What If Spider-Girl character is being pitched to Marvel Studios by Indianapolis transgender Jane Eleanor Patricia Knight (born DeWayne Elbert Knight). In the proposed series, Ms. Knight would wear a feminine version of the Spider-Girl costume, consisting of a violet corset and lavender briefs/underwear, along with suntan sheer pantyhose to complement the red components, such as boots, belt and mask. The costume is reportedly being designed by Mrs. Alice Taulman and Mrs. Ledajean Flory, a guidance counselor and home economics teacher who were Ms. Knight's superiors at Edinburgh, Indiana, High School, where she graduated.
Throughout the course of the series, Ms. Knight, as Spider-Girl, will help law enforcement track down the world's most notorious criminals (a la America's Most Wanted). Unlike Betty Brant, who tossed her costume after two wearings, Ms. Knight pledges to wear her Spider-Girl costume forever and will renounce her civilian identity. Ms. Knight has also planned SRS surgery with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Alter; the date and time is yet to be determined.
Come on, you'd watch it, wouldn't you?
Jane does have a little history concerning the character it seems..
