TokyoPop Delays Their Manga Titles Further Into 2020

Back at the beginning of April, manga publisher TokyoPop  stated that they will "delay the print release of our upcoming titles originally scheduled for release in April and May of 2020." However, they accelerated digital releases, outsourcing work to freelancers, and looking to resume printing and releasing as soon as possible. They stated that "we do not anticipate having to delay the release of titles initially scheduled for June or later". Well, that was in a different world. They've now scheduled a number of delayed titles into the end of the year. They note that since then, they have lost their printer, lettering production team, distributor and more, leading to an adjusted release schedule for the remainder of 2020.

"We are grateful as always for the patience and consideration of our fans, who've been incredibly supportive over the last few weeks," says Kae Winters, Marketing Associate of TokyoPop. "This is such a strange time for everyone, and we hope to be able to support our retailer and librarian friends, along with bringing new, exciting content to fans once more."
