Venom #25 Reprises The Past And Teases The Future For Knull

As the Absolute Carnage event concluded, we learned that this wasn't the end of even the beginning of the end but maybe the end of the beginning. Basically, the good guys lost, the bad guys won, and the great god Knull of the Symbiotes was freed and sent on his way to Earth.

We pointed out that he may have some competition on is way with the Brood, the Skrull/Kree Empyre and whatever it was that Iron Man 2020 had detected. Maybe they could collide on the way? In today's Venom #25 Eddie Brock has something to say, and some people to say it to.

But written in a fashion that feels like he could be talking to the audience, to the readers, to those who have followed Donny Cates' storyline from one book to the next.

That's really quite on the nose. Venom #25 by Donny Cates, Mark Bagley, Andy Owens and Frank Martin manages to wrap up all that has come before, find a way to resolve the Venom/Carnage fight (for now), deal with his son and a few of the other Venomtastic characters kicking around as well as his membership of the Avengers. A conclusion that fans have been waiting for, for months now. But then we get a glimpse of what is to come as well, the arrival of Knull on Earth, and everything that has led the way, including the Ultimate Reed Richards' Maker. Because it's more than just Knull. It's everything that has been going on to prepare his way…
