Walking Dead #115 Racks Up The Advance Reorders, And Everyone Wants The Star Wars

Greetings from the coal face of the direct comics market. Where retailers try to increase their orders of certain comics ahead of sale. Where supply and demand and most accurately reflected, where you can see which books are hot, where new orders are coming in and how retailers are reacting to new, unanticipated desire!

Okay, so it may not sell quite as many as Walking Dead #100 did. But it's going to sell a lot. Walking Dead #115 covers take five places on the Advance Reorder list this week, and another spot for the Walking Dead Tyreese Special.

In non-zombie related advance reorder activity, and aside from the usual Infinity/Battle Of The Atom/Forever Evil activity, Superman/Wonder Woman #1 leads, and retailers take advantage of the full returnability of Coffin Hill from DC/Vertigo, and the return of Shaolin Cowboy gets a bump, I'm told, just after Bleeding Cool ran a preview of the art. Which is nice. And the sales on the first Sons Of Anarchy seem to have done the business, driving up orders for the second issue to match it. And the Image launch of Rocket Girl also makes it onto the chart. More from that in weeks to come, I expect.

And for comics that have already been publisher, The Star Wars #1 pushes through the usual hardcovers and trade paperbacks to claim the top spot. Looks like Dark Horse were happy to overprint the one quite a bit! Also, it seems that DC actually had quite a few copies of the Deadshot 3D cover left over and available to sell.
