The Walking Dead Comic Will Lose a Familar Name Tomorrow With #192 (No Spoilers)

Tomorrow sees the release of the much anticipated The Walking Dead #192. The cliffhanger for #191 shocked the readers of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's comic book, both longstanding and casual. And #192 promises many changes to the book going forward.

Including the departure of a much loved member of the Walking Dead ensemble.

Stefano Gaudiano is the current inker of The Walking Dead and joined the crew five-and-a-half years ago with Walking Dead #115, published in October 2013. The book was going twice-monthly for the All Out War series, and his contribution inking Charlie's pensils got the book out on time. Afterwards, Adlard and Kirkman liked his inks enough they he stayed on the book, keeping it on schedule and also giving Adlard time to pursue other projects alongside The Walking Dead, such as his recently published Vampire State Building series of graphic novels for the French.

But no Stefano is moving on, Charlie is returning to ink his own pencils with The Walking Dead #193 and so it's time for Walking Dead fans to say a heartfelt goodbye to Stefano.
