When Todd McFarlane Pops By Your Comic Store For Five Hours Straight

Long-standing Spawn fans may recall that the character of Cyan, the daughter of Wanda Simmons and Terry Fitzgerald, was named after Todd McFarlane's own daughter, an infant when Spawn began. Well, these days Cyan is a doctor at a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Making a visit, at the end of last month, he also reached out to Asheville Comics in Arden, North Carolina, saying he wanted to do something for the local fans.

He agreed to stay and sign and sketch for fans for two hours. But seeing a line of hundreds, he decided to make sure to stay until every last person got something signed, for five hours in total. The store owner told me that "Todd could not have been nicer, it was truly the biggest honour in our store's short history."
