Will OMAC/Frankenstein Be The First Crossover Of DC Comics New 52?
We are aware that we won't see any "events" in the DC New 52 books, in the way we understand them now that is, such as Blackest Night or Fear Itself. Looking at the preview art there are however a myriad of cameos of characters in other people's books.
Such as Ray Palmer, appearing in Frankenstein, according to Dan DiDio at Fan Expo Canada moderating the Jeff Lemire spotlight panel, which Jeff almost didn't make it to, after being stuck in traffic.
But the pair also took the opportunity to announce that their respective issues fives of OMAC and Frankenstein, shipping in January 2012, will feature the two characters having a go at each other. An actual crossover, featuring their respective points of view on the conflict.
Of course both characters, at least classically, have a shared history, The Monster, created by Doctor Frankenstein by injecting electricity into dead flesh and OMAC created by computer-hormonal operation into Buddy Blank by the GPA.
But will anyone else's fifth issues feature similar crossovers?
Thanks to Bleeding Cool's goose on the loose, Angle Man.
