Bandai Namco Announces First Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC
Bandai Namco revealed today that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be getting a new DLC pack, the first one for the game since launch. Up until now the game has pretty much been self-sustaining and has only needed a couple of patches since it came out. Primarily because it covers so much ground within the DBZ universe that a new pack of content really wasn't necessary until recently. Even those who have beat the game are now going back and doing it on harder modes for 100%. Now we know there's a new pack of content on the way, but we don't really know a ton about it. Here's the info the company sent out this morning.
Join Goku and Vegeta in an unknown world in the "New Power Awakens – Part 1" DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on April 28! This DLC features a game exclusive original story where Goku and Vegeta must train and awaken as "Super Saiyan Gods" to defeat Beerus, the "God of Destruction"! This first DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will provide multiple opportunities for players to gain Experience Points and can be accessed at any point during the game. The "New Power Awakens – Part 1" DLC will be available on April 28 along with the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Music Compilation Pack for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs via Steam.
While all of those additions sound pretty cool, it really doesn't go too far into depth as to how much content you're truly getting. Here's hoping this is the setup for a number of DLC packs on the way that, with any luck, will delve into more of the DBZ universe. It would be nice if the game took you back in time to the start of the series and showed Goku growing up with Master Roshi.
