You'll also see a reworked racing environment, a revamped progression system, an all-new Adventure Road mode to try out, and a number of quality-of-life improvements on top. Things Get Far More Villainous in the Latest Update for Disney Speedstorm
- Mother Gothel – Mother Gothel's legendary Sundrop Flower is her key to victory! When used, Mother Gothel will sing to the flower, which in turn will reward her with a temporary speed and boost buff. At the end of her song, Mother Gothel will then change from her default Trickster class to a Speedster. When charged, Mother Gothel spawns a bright dome of light around her, causing any other racers caught inside to be blinded. Once the attack is finished, Mother Gothel will return to her original Trickster class.
- Yokai – Beware of the Microbots! Yokai brings his mechanical minions to the race, and when used uncharged, he surrounds himself in bots for protection and shoots a line of bots ahead that provide a temporary speed boost. Charged, Yokai throws a large crate forward onto the track, creating a major obstacle for every other racer. If they collide with the crate, they'll suffer from a temporary speed debuff!
- Shan Yu – Ever the villainous competitor, Shan Yu brings help in his race to victory with his trusty falcon, Hayabusa. Uncharged, Shan Yu throws his falcon forward, which mercilessly scratches and pecks at opponents and causes them to be silenced, unable to boost and restrict their use of a power-up. If the opponent was holding a power-up when struck, Shan Yu's falcon will steal it and bring it back to the villain for his own use. If charged, Shan Yu hops onto his horse and surges forward while an immense avalanche follows behind him. The snow will cause opponents to have a harder time steering while also slowing them if they make direct contact with it.
- New Crew Members – Hayabusa, Bai Welm and Bao Welm, Sheshou from Disney's Mulan, The Stabbington Brothers, Big Nose, Attila Buckethead from Disney's Tangled and Abigail Callaghan, Yama's Thugs, Snips from Disney's Big Hero 6.

- Mid-Season Racers – Syndrome from Disney and Pixar's The Incredibles and Pete from Disney's Mickey and Friends speed into the competition.
- New Supercharged Racers and Vault – Five new supercharged Racers enter the fray with boosted stats and progression: Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin, Joy and Ennui from Disney and Pixar's Inside Out, Olaf from Disney's Frozen, and Baloo from Disney's The Jungle Book.
- 3 New Vault Racers – Alice, The Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts from Disney's Alice in Wonderland.
- New Progression System – Race, win, and progress in a more intuitive way with a totally revamped progression system. The new Star system will replace levels, and each Star is made up of smaller Star fragments. Race and win to unlock fragments, which in turn reward you with small stats boosts and upgrades. Collect all fragments for a Star, and you'll be rewarded with a significant stat boost. Current progress with levels will remain, and players in Villainous Ever After will see their levels automatically converted to the new system. To give players an even bigger boost, the game will also now feature a 6th Star category, giving players an even bigger boost to their performance, as well as the replacement of Upgrade Coins with Tune Coins.
- Adventure Road – A new, permanent progression mode complete with challenging races and awesome rewards. Complete special nodes on the Adventure Road map by winning races with specific racers and get rewarded with a special currency to unlock further parts of the maps as well as exclusive rewards. Adventure Road will launch with collections for Mickey and Friends, Lilo & Stitch, Aladdin, Big Hero 6, and Zootopia.
