Fortnite Streamer Arrested For Alleged Domestic Abuse During Stream
Over the weekend, a Fortnite clip went viral on social media after footage was shown of a streamer allegedly abusing his girlfriend off-camera. Today, police have arrested the 26-year-old Australian Twitch streamer known as MrDeadMoth (name withheld by officials) on charges of domestic abuse. The video itself is disturbing so we have decided not to link to it but it is out there if you want to watch it. However, there is explicit language and while you don't see the abuse you hear the couple fighting. In the clip, you can hear a woman in the background yelling "You fucking woman basher!" and "Don't hit me in the face. Don't touch me in the face. You hear that all you people there, he just hit me in the face."
Following the clip going viral online, McDeadMoth's channel was either deactivated by him or taken down by Twitch, and his social media accounts were shut down so he couldn't be tagged in the video. According to a report by The Camden Police Area Command in New South Wales, Australia, officers responded to the alleged attack after a witness report was opened. He is currently set to receive a hearing in the Camden Local Court on Thursday, December 13th. The report also states there were two other girls at the scene, ages three and 20 months, respectively. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
