Hyperbolic Magnetism Releases Teaser Trailer For Beat Saber
Have you ever wondered what it might be light to play a 3D version of Dance Dance Revolution with lightsabers? Wonder no longer as Czech Republic based developers Hyperbolic Magnetism have released a gameplay trailer for Beat Saber. We've included a description of the game from the company below along with the footage, but basically, the trailer will have you standing in VR swatting away at directional cues to make a beat to a song with glowing rods! No release date set for the game yet, but it has been revealed it will come out for PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.
Beat Saber is a unique VR rhythm game, where your goal is to slash the beats (represented by small cubes) as they are coming at you. Every beat indicates which hand you need to use and also the direction you need to match. The game can be easily described as a mashup of Guitar Hero and Fruit Ninja in VR. All the music is composed to perfectly fit the hand made levels. Our goal is to make players almost dance, while cutting all the cubes and avoiding obstacles. Each cut is strongly supported by great sound and visual effects to emphasize the rhythm.
