Looking Over Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Duelists White Dragon Abyss
A couple weeks ago, the crew at Konami sent us a few booster packs of the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! set to be released, Legendary Duelists White Dragon Abyss. The company basically sent us what we would call a decent sampling as we got five packs which contained five cards a piece, which we gladly dug into to see what they had to offer.
Just briefly going over what you see below, we got a pretty good sampling of material to play with. Most of it actually played into Abyss cards revolving around the theatre. A few Abyss Actor cards which produced some pretty decent creatures like Comic Relief and Leading Lady, as well as a couple Abyss Script cards. We got some pretty awesome dragons in the mix as well with a Black-Winged, a Cyber Twin, and a Starliege Photon Blast. Cybernetic Revolution was also a great find. Overall there was a lot to play with in here, but it definitely begs for more content beyond what you would need in a starter deck to build off of. It feels like I'd need to get a couple more boosters on top of these with a starter to get a really powerful deck rolling. So a good set of boosters, but you'd need to be really lucky to work with just five.
They also sent us a collection of 50 tournament-legal sleeves, specifically from the Kaiba's Majestic Collection. They work really well if you're looking for a new set of sleeves to play with, though the artwork on the back may not be everyone's cup of tea. We definitely recommend them if you need something thin and smooth to replace any of your older sleeves.
