Netflix Confirms Castlevania Season 2 Will Premiere in October
This weekend at Anime Expo 2018, Netflix dropped a couple of bits of news about a few different animation projects, including a date of Castlevania. The second season of the highly acclaimed animated series will be debuting on October 26th, 2018, just a few days shy of Halloween like we were hoping for.
The company gave absolutely no details behind the storyline or the plot to the eight episodes that we're set to receive this fall, simply making the announcement and then adding a couple of pictures on Twitter to mark the occasion and get you slightly psyched up to see it.
Along with having no information about the episodes, there's no word on voice cast or additional characters being added to give even the slightest clue as to where the story might be going. For those who aren't as history-savvy with the series and the games, the show is using lore more closely tied to Castlevania III on the NES as the primary cast of heroes consists of Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades, and Alucard. (Still no sign of Grant Dynasty, but there's still time.) Along with Dracula, of course, who we last saw bringing hell down upon the earth for the brutal murder of his wife who was burned at the stake by the church.
Much like CV3, I'm sure it'll be nothing but sunshine and roses getting to and through the castle to meet him.
