Niantic Is Currently Running A "Pokémon GO" Valentine's Day Celebration
Niantic has been sending Valentine's Day vibes this weekend to all the Pokémon GO players with their 2020 Celebration event. This is a chance for you to pick up special pink versions of a few of your favorite creatures. As well as take place in the Lickitung Raid Day, which is happening today (February 15th) from 2-5pm in your local time zone. According to the event info, Lickitung will be in four-star raids and know Body Slam! You can receive up to five Raid Passes during the event by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. However, you cannot hold more than one of these Raid Passes at once and they're gone after the event. A few lucky trainers will even encounter a Shiny Lickitung! Here's more info on the Valentine's Day event below. Best of luck to you until February 17th.
Audino, the Hearing Pokémon, and Alomomola, the Caring Pokémon, will be making their Pokémon GO debut! They'll be appearing in the wild and hatching from 7 km Eggs. They're rare though, so you might encounter them only if you're very lucky! Audino and Alomomola will remain available (and incredibly hard to find!) in Pokémon GO after the event ends.
Regular Lure Modules activated during the event will last six hours, and you'll receive a 2× Catch Candy bonus. Pink Pokémon—like Lickitung, Porygon, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Luvdisc, and Happiny—will be hatching from 7 km Eggs. If you're lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Chansey in the wild or hatch a Shiny Happiny!
