Pokémon GO is Letting You Vote for New Pokéstops

Niantic is rolling out a beta that will soon lead to players of Pokémon GO nominating and voting for new Pokéstops in the game. The company released a new update letting players know that the test will happen in Brazil and South Korea, but that they'd have to meet specific guidelines in order to be a part of the beta and how stops would be submitted.

This will be the first time that Trainers will be able to submit locations in Pokémon GO. Submissions will be evaluated for future inclusion in the game. This feature will initially be limited to level 40 Trainers (child accounts excluded) in Brazil and South Korea. Trainers who meet these initial requirements will be able to nominate potential PokéStops by submitting photographs and descriptions of the locations. Submissions will be reviewed by experienced users in the Ingress Operation Portal Recon (OPR) project.

Like a lot of Niantic's programs, we're assuming the testing will take place for a couple months to iron out all the wrinkles and then will be released worldwide. We're sure there are tons of people in the U.S. and Japan who can't wait to get their hands on it, seeing as how players from both those countries are some of the top Reddit posters when it comes to complaints about current Pokéstop locations.
