Professor Layton's Daughter To Get An Anime In 2018

Thos of you who have enjoyed the Professor Layton series may be excited to find out that there's an anime on the way next year for Professor Layton's Daughter. According to the spinoff's main website, a new series called Layton Mystery Detective Agency: Kat's Mystery-Solving Files will premiere this spring, but very few details were given out about who would be producing the series and where it would air. Let alone whether or not it will be seen in North America and Europe.

The Anime News Network, however, found out that LIDEN FILMS would be directing the series, along with some of the casting choices.

Kana Hanazawa (Infini-T Force's Belle Lynn, March comes in like a lion's Hinata Kawamoto) will play Katrielle. Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino (creative producer for Yōkai WatchTime Bokan 24) will be the creative director, and he is also credited with the original concept and series composition. Susumu Mitsunaka (Haikyu!!Cuticle Detective Inaba) will direct the series at LIDEN FILMS (The Heroic Legend of ArslanTerraformars). Yoko Takada (key animation for The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm DanceInuyasha) will design the characters based on Takuzō Nagano's original designs.
