PUBG Releases A Lore Video To Go With Season Eight

PUBG Corp. released a new video this morning for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, giving the game a little bit of lore for the first time. For the most part, when you look at PUBG as a whole, you don't put a ton of thought into what is happening. People dive out of a plane, hit the ground looking for loot, take each other out one by one as the circle closes in, and the person at the end of it all gets a chicken dinner. A concept that's been around for a while now, pioneered by people who came before them, as they put their own spin on things as others have taken it in different directions. But ultimately, at the end of the day, you're really not sitting around asking why all of these people are going to an island to shoot other people for a piece of chicken. At least, not until now.

The developers have created this new video for you to watch below, which is going to be the first of a few that will try to interject some lore into the game and explain why all of these people are doing these things. Apparently, you're all involved in an experiment. But who is doing it and what is the purpose? Who are these mysterious people they're calling the Sanhok 4? Why s it the only think you get at the end of all this is some chicken in a frying pan? Learn more today with the video and this little bit of information left behind.

For years people have wondered who is actually behind the PUBG Battlegrounds, but they have always been cloaked in shadows. Until now…

We have recovered footage from a real-life Battlegrounds tournament last week that finally gives us insight into who runs them, and more importantly, WHY they exist. The video features a live conference call between what appear to be individuals running an underground battle royale that goes wrong, resulting in the escape of four combatants dubbed "The Sanhok 4."

The footage will give you a deeper understanding of how the Battlegrounds tournaments are run and what happened last week on the island of Sanhok. It's safe to say that "HE" is not happy, though his identity remains Unknown. There's a lot of information packed into this video and we could use your help digging through it for clues. We've included a couple of leads that will aid you in your investigation:
