Razer Announces the Razer Game Store for PC Players
Today, Razer officially released details about the company's latest move to work with and sell gear and games to PC players with the Razer Game Store.
Operating along the same lines of Steam and Uplay, the store will be a client where people can purchase and download games, with the added incentive of earning their own form of currency for using their system. When you make a purchase in their store, you earn zSilver and zGold, which are essentially rewards credits you can use toward other purchases to get a discount on certain products. Below is a brief quote from the company's co-founder on the addition.
"As gamers, we know the importance of a good deal and the Razer Game Store delivers that to everyone," says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO. "We have been delighting gamers with our high-performing peripherals, laptops and software, and we're now also able to provide the content itself that fuels their passion."

The real challenge of the system will be pulling people away from systems they already use. No target date was set for launch, only that it would be available in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and France when it does. Below are some of the additional features promised with the new store.
- Selling only officially authorized keys – Razer works with many publishing and developer partners to make sure that all games sold on the Razer Game Store are fully licensed.
- Providing Razer rewards for every purchase –Razer commits to rewarding gamers each time they check out with unique offers like zSilver bonuses, vouchers and hardware discounts.
- Razer Exclusive Deals – Deals marked as Razer Exclusive feature great promotions and rewards exclusive to Razer.
