Get ready, all you Sisters of Battle fans – new Adeptus Sororitas goodies for Warhammer 40,000 are available to be preordered on Games Workshop's web store!

Warhammer Community, the company's main news hub for all things Games Workshop, announced that a fair amount of new Sisters of Battle models will be up on their web store to preorder with a January 18th, 2020 release date.
Some of the insane models that Games Workshop has concocted for the ever-diligent Sisters of Battle connoisseur include the Penitent Engine (which can also apparently be built as another model – the Anchorite), arco-flagellants (including Damien 1427, a model that was featured back in 2001 in Games Workshop's Inquisitor line), and many others!

You've already seen the Penitent Engine, but you'll still be surprised how much stuff is packed onto these sprues. The kit includes two of these bizarre machines, with loads of cosmetic and weapon options so they never have to look the same. Which is good, because they're so effective on the battlefield you'll want loads of them. Kit them out with flails to smash through light to medium infantry or buzz-blades for chopping up big beasties and enemy armour. With two in the box, why not go for one of each?
This kit also allows you to build them as a brand new unit – Mortifiers are piloted by Sisters Repentia who've been given the ultimate sanction for fleeing from battle. Don't let their previous cowardice fool you – they've still got the formidable stats and special rules you'd expect from a Battle Sister.
The unit can include an Anchorite – Sisters who not only fled but betrayed their Order as well – in a sarcophagus that both prevents them from the release of death and forever isolates them from their peers.
Speaking of penitent soldiers seeking absolution through combat, a full kit for Arco-flagellants is coming up for pre-order this weekend. You'll find ten models in a wide variety of poses, with enough flail and head options to create all kinds of different looks. You can even build one as the notorious Damien 1427, first seen in the larger-scale Inquisitor game way back in 2001.

To further support your Sisters of Battle, the Exorcist has arrived to play them a little pipe-organ hymnal, complete with a built-in percussion section in the form of high explosives. This brutal battle tank fires two different types of weapon, but both fill the air with the screams of heretics to make a perfect accompaniment to their solemn dirges.
Are you excited for this release? I can remember back in 2002 when I had seen Damien 1427 in a catalogue book made by Games Workshop and thinking about how cool that model was. I'm lucky Games Workshop made the connection on the Warhammer Community page between the Inquisitor model and this model, though, because I recognized that the new model was familiar but couldn't quite place a finger on why at first.
