Sleeping Dogs Developer Is Being Closed Down With New Game No Longer Available
United Front Games were the creators of some pretty great games. ModNation Racers was a solid karting game, and Sleeping Dogs was a bit of an underappreciated gem.
Sadly, it seems like the studio is closing down. This is according to GameSpot, who have sources that confirm the shut down. Complicating things, the developer very recently released Smash + Grab onto the Steam store as an early access game, and right now there is no word on what's going to happen to that title and the players who bought in to it. Right now though, purchase of the game is suspended.
It's always a shame when a good developer is closed down, and United Front Games clearly had a lot of talent. I hope everyone affected lands on their feet.
