Territory Mode

Sometimes the best gifts cost nothing. The new Territory Mode puts players in command of the planetary defense across the three worlds featured in the base game and its two DLCs (Rising Hell and Urban Onslaught). This strategic campaign provides a level of personalization and replayability never before seen in Terran Command. Instead of following one scripted mission after another, players now decide where and how to strike the Bugs and wipe out their nests in an open strategic campaign. Battles can be fought across the galaxy, with each planet offering its own distinct set of maps, objectives, and unique Arachnid threats—ensuring that no two campaigns ever feel the same.

Unprecedented Customization

The core of this revolution lies in the new level of customization. In Territory Mode, players choose their Battle Groups, which function like specialized factions. These Battle Groups consist of a unique set of units, turrets, and abilities, adding character-based elements and super innovative tactical options to every deployment. The launch Battle Groups include:

  • Ground Pounders: Hardened veterans of the brutal desert war on Kwalasha.
  • Hell Raisers: Fearless mercenaries operating on behalf of the Federation.
  • Peacekeepers: The Federation's elite military police.

Each Battle Group also comes with a unique set of Technologies, which players must find and unlock in battle to gain enhanced unit performance, new unit types, or powerful abilities. (Planets and units from Gehenna and Varuna are available with their respective DLCs.)

Core Gameplay Refined

Territory Mode introduces a new strategic layer where controlling and defending Territory Points is paramount. Holding these strategic locations guarantees a steady income of a new, essential resource. This resource must be carefully managed to recruit new units, reinforce weakened squads, and unlock those advanced technologies. The Arachnids won't surrender without a fight: their power will steadily grow as the campaign unfolds, launching relentless counteroffensives.
