TCG Spotlight: Some Of The Best Zacian Pokémon Cards Part 2
In honor of the current strange and exciting raid feature of the Galarian Legendary Zacian in Pokémon GO, let's take a look at some more of the most iconic Zacian cards from the Pokémon TCG. Normally, we cover both vintage and modern cards in these spotlight pieces, but Zacian is a new arrival in the current Sword & Shield era of the TCG. We'd love to hear from you, so chime in with your top Zacian picks in the comments below. Also, don't miss Part One of this Zacian feature, where we show off two different versions of a stunning Zacian gold card.
- SWSH Black Star Promo Zacian: I've been collecting Pokémon cards since the days you could pick up Base Set packs from 7-Eleven. (I still remember a day where I had no money and my buddy bought one and pulled the Gyarados. I've never been so close to pulling an unarmed robbery than that day.) It's crazy to think that holographic cards, which used to be the most exciting kind of card to pull, have essentially become bulk in main expansions. Black Star Promo cards keep holos exciting, though, by keeping up the old-school galaxy foil pattern. This Kouki Saitou Zacian cannot be pulled in regular packs, and man, oh man is it a nice cards.
- Sword & Shield: Vivid Voltage Amazing Rare Zacian: I mourn amazing rares. They ran for just two sets, Vivid Voltate and Shining Fates, before riding off into the sunset to be with other retired card styles like BREAKs and Prism Stars. Amazing Rares were absolutely beautiful, which you can see on this paint-splashed Shin Nagasawa Zacian. These majorly enriched pack openings by giving collectors a chance to pull something other than reverse holos in the slot before the rare.
- Sword & Shield Zacian V: This standard Pokémon-V by 5ban Graphics shows off this new Galarian Legendary with simplicity and grace. A nice card indeed.
