A Resident Evil Musical Is Set To Open This Year In Japan
The idea of a horror musical isn't entirely new. Productions like Evil Dead: The Musical have mixed the genre to bloody (and brilliant) effect. The two unlikely bedfellows look set to crash again, but in the form of an unlikely franchise.
Resident Evil is getting the unlikely musical treatment, which I think is pretty cool. The production will take place this year, but if you want to attend, you'll have to make the trip to Japan. The show is being overseen by Capcom's own Hiroyuki Kobayashi to make sure it is all authentic to the brand.
I really hope that footage of this makes it way out there. Seeing the tone of this thing could be really quite fascinating. Do they play up the ridiculousness or go in poe-faced? That's an interesting question I want to know the answer too.
