We Check Out "If Found…" From Annapurna Interactive At PAX West 2019

We got a look at a new indie title from Annapurna Interactive as they brought with them the bizarre game If Found… to PAX West 2019. The game puts you in the role of an astronaut who is in a deep section of our solar system looking for a new planet. She shoots to it and believes she discovered it, only to find a black hole in its place. The minute she enters, you come across a surreal story in which you are both going through her past and trying to save her future. The game's art style switches you between journals that she had written and her current struggle with trying to find out where she's headed.

This interactive visual novel uses an eraser in which you clear out sections of the screen to see the next frame. It's a cool mechanic that both moves the story along and also tells part of what's happening. We'll keep this spoiler-free since we don't want to give away much of the plot. But it does an amazing job of conveying what's happening to her. If Found… will be released sometime in 2020 on Steam for PC, as well as iOS and Android.
