Ant-Man and The Wasp: Marvel Producer Calls Ghost "Awesome" and "Badass"
Ant-Man and The Wasp is right around the corner, and the marketing has done a very good job of hiding the villain. We don't know that much about Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. This is a character that has been race and gender bent, and executive producer Stephen Broussard told Screen Rant that the power set is very classic while assuring that the character is awesome and badass.
"The power set is the same and the look is actually pretty classic, you know, not reinterpretation, but like modernization I think. Our visual design team…does a great job I think of sticking to the classic tropes that made these — what they looked like in the books. Actually going 'Huh, that's a pretty good realization of what that might look like in the real world' and certainly that's the case with Ghost. When you think of Ghost, you think of the hood. You think of the white suit and everything like that and Hannah wears it very well. She's awesome. She's really, really badass."
It's awesome that they really tried to keep the power set classic despite changing up the character. The effects in all of the trailers and TV spots look really cool.
Summary: As Scott Lang balances being both a Super Hero and a father, Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.
Ant-Man and The Wasp, directed by Peyton Reed, stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Hannah John-Kamen, Michael Douglas, and Michael Peña. It will be released on July 6th.
