Yesterday, Bleeding Cool told you about a backstage brawl between wrestlers Chris Jericho and Sin Cara, which was reportedly won by Sin Cara. Today, Chris Jericho has taken to Twitter to dispel rumors that he was knocked out during the fight, though he doesn't comment on who won:
Hmmm haven't been KOd since 1994 in Hakata Star Lanes. Another example of shoddy, uninformed "journalism" from the stupid idiots at @MLW.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter'sDave Meltzer, the Rich Johnston of wrestling journalism, supplied more details on the fight in a report this morning. Meltzer says the fight took place on a tour bus after Jericho confronted Sin Cara about making obnoxious noises that were bothering the other wrestlers. Meltzer reports that Sin Cara "snapped in two seconds without any warning or reason" and threw a wild punch at Jericho as other wrestlers jumped in to break up the fight. Jericho reportedly bit Sin Cara's finger during the brawl, which ended with Sin Cara being kicked off the bus.
There is no word at this time as to whether Sin Cara was added to The List as retaliation for the attack, but it seems safe to assume he was, given the circumstances.
A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.
Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
